Built from the field, for the field
Instrumentation Hub was started to make practical I&C knowledge easier to find, and to give engineers and technicians a place to help each other.
Sheik Abdullah
Instrumentation & Control professional with many years of hands-on experience across EPC projects, commissioning and plant operations in power plants, oil & gas and the wider energy sector.
My work has covered the full life of an instrument: from datasheets, sizing and vendor review, through installation checks, calibration, loop checking and commissioning, to troubleshooting live plants where a wrong reading costs real money.
Why this platform
Most of what a field engineer really needs (how to range a wet-leg level transmitter, why a 4–20 mA loop drops out at 22 mA, what to check before stroking a control valve) is scattered across manuals, old notebooks and colleagues' memories. Instrumentation Hub brings it together:
- Apps that do the everyday calculations correctly, on your phone, offline.
- Study materials written in plain language, with the formulas and the field tips.
- A community where questions get answered by people who have stood in front of the same transmitter.
Share your feedback
This platform is built for the global instrumentation community: engineers, technicians and students. Suggestions, corrections and ideas for new tools are always welcome.
